Cantor Jamie Marx

Jamie Marx is honored to serve as the cantor of Temple Sholom in Broomall, PA. Since 2013, he has served on several ACC committees including the new website task force and the budget committee, and has been a member of the ACC board since 2016.

A composer and songwriter, Cantor Marx has written and recorded numerous pieces, including two CDs of Jewish rock, numerous singles, and various settings of Jewish liturgical texts. In his free time, Jamie also writes and sells Purim spiel parodies.

Jamie was ordained at HUC-JIR in May 2011 and previously earned a BA in Music from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2003. He is married to Anna and is the proud father of Eliana and Isaac.
