ACC is pleased to announce the acceptance of a grant from the Women of Reform Judaism to Raise Jewish Feminist Voices

June 10, 2025

New York, NY – Through its philanthropic arm, the YES (Youth, Education, and Special Projects) Fund, Women of Reform Judaism awarded over $335,000 in grants to 34 programs that will encourage the growth of individuals as Jewish trailblazers and the advancement of Reform Movement institutions.

These grants help create inclusive communities by kickstarting Jewish engagement in youth, making leadership positions more accessible for women, and continuing our fight for egalitarian values in North America, Israel, and beyond.

“Women of Reform Judaism is proud of our impact as the philanthropic arm of the Reform Movement and a venture capitalist of the Jewish world at-large,” WRJ President Karen Sim said

Split among four categories: youth, education, special projects, and innovation, the grants are distributed annually, with bi-annual status reports submitted by all grantees. Approximately 60 percent of allocations went to Reform Movement partners, organizations that support the Reform Jewish Movement worldwide.

“At a pivotal moment for the Jewish people our leadership and support for our grantees is more needed now than ever. As we learn in the Talmud, ‘Kol Yisrael arevim zeh ba’zeh - all of Israel is responsible for one another,’” WRJ CEO Rabbi Liz P.G. Hirsch said.

New programs within this grant cycle also include supporting A Wider Bridge’s Queers Against Antisemitism Outreach Program; facilitating the creation of healing kits for Israeli children suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder with Artists 4 Israel; amplifying the Torah Studio’s text study resources; and expanding capacity building for the only Jewish abortion fund, the Red Tent Fund, among other initiatives.

"Our partnership with WRJ has been transformational for Women of the Wall. Through their support of the Sacred Feminism program, we have empowered thousands of women and teens to reclaim their voices in Jewish life. WRJ enables us to challenge the narrow Orthodox narrative and show that all Jews—especially women—have an equal place in tradition and at the Kotel. Their impact is felt in every woman who dares to pray proudly and publicly again,” shared Yochi Rappeport, Executive Director of Women of the Wall, a long-standing YES Fund grantee.
