ACC-GTM BIENNIAL MEMBER GATHERING: JEWISH SOUNDS OF THE SECOND CITY: GEMS FROM CHICAGO'S JEWISH MUSICAL HISTORY

October 11, 2019

From the founding of KAM Temple in 1847 Chicago has been one of America's greatest centers for Jewish life and culture. With Cantor David Berger as our musical and historical tour guide, we will sample some of the greatest music by Chicago composers from the 19th century right up today. Together, we will sing pieces by luminaries such as Todros Greenberg, Harry Coopersmith, Erwin Jospe, Robert Applebaum, Max Janowski, Debbie Friedman, and others!  We will fill the historic sanctuary of KAM Isaiah Israel with the music of more than 170 years of Jewish life in Chicago.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, ACC and GTM members will gather at KAM for a very special event as the URJ Biennial kicks off later that afternoon.

Open to members in good standing of the ACC and GTM. Pre-registration is required.
