ACC E-NOTE #17: Executive Vice President Announcement

January 21, 2005

Dear friends,

I am writing to let you know that Scott Colbert has decided not to seek renewal of his term as Executive Vice President, which concludes on July 31. As a friend to us all, Scott has served with great devotion. He is planning to pursue other opportunities, while enjoying a less arduous travel schedule and having more time to spend with Karen. Scott has offered to support the work of the Conference in other capacities in the future.

I am sure that you join me in expressing great appreciation for Scott's tireless work on behalf of the Conference and its members. During his tenure as EVP, Scott has continually demonstrated his affection for his colleagues and his enthusiasm for our vocation. Many have benefited from the countless hours he has spent supporting cantors throughout the Movement, helping to bring us together for our annual conventions, and representing us with other organizations. Scott's menschlichkeit has been a model of caring and consideration, and his humor and modesty have graced our deliberations.

We look forward to recognizing Scott for his contributions as Executive Vice President during the convention in New Orleans.

L'shalom,
Richard Cohn
