Stories of Music: “What is Jewish Music?” - Dr. Mark Kligman
Engage with your American Jewish identity and history in new and different ways. Stories of Music is an adult education project of the Lowell Milken Fund for American Jewish Music at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. Don't miss the opportunity to join these lessons on Monday nights from 8:00pm-9:15pm EDT via ZOOM and Facebook live. You will have the opportunity to work with top faculty from UCLA and the Cantors Assembly. Join one lesson, or all of them!
The curriculum was developed in partnership with the Cantors Assembly and the American Conference of Cantors, and our colleagues at the Milken Archive of Jewish Music. Our goal is to provide prepared lesson plans on a broad range of musically related topics to engage participants in adult education programs to think about the American Jewish experience through stories of the evolving nature of Jewish music.
