THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN POSTPONED:RPEI Clergy Training Program: Equitable Hiring Practices
Reform Pay Equity Initiative Training for Clergy
Statistically women in the U.S. earn 20% less than their male colleagues and the Reform Movement is no exception. The gender wage gap in our Reform institutions and congregations has been documented through several salary studies over the past ten years. It is our obligation as Reform leaders to seek economic justice and work to close the wage gap for rabbis, cantors, and all employees of the Reform Movement.
In this training series, offered by the Reform Pay Equity Initiative (RPEI) in partnership with the CCAR and ACC, clergy members will learn how to create more equitable workplaces for their employees. This series will provide members with information about the importance of pay equity, implicit bias, equitable hiring practices, paid family and medical leave, and negotiation skills. In every session, the impact on clergy members themselves also will be explored.
The cost for this series is $180 (scholarships are available upon request). Following completion of all four sessions (5 hours, total) members will receive a Certificate in Equitable Hiring Practices from the Reform Pay Equity Initiative.
