Join MAZON for this year's Jewish Clergy Virtual Justice Mission
This November, MAZON once again plans to convene rabbis and cantors from various denominations to learn about hunger in America through a Jewish lens, engage in advocacy and policy training, and hold legislative advocacy meetings — though this year, we will be together virtually. Even as we wish we could be together in person, we look ahead to this virtual gathering with great anticipation for what this new format will afford all of us.
This year, your participation is critical. In this new reality, your front-line advocacy efforts are all the more pressing as the effects of COVID-19 on hunger and poverty are only growing more severe.
This will be a multi-track event, with opportunities available for those who wish to engage deeply or selectively.
Highlights include:
- High-level briefings on current issues related to hunger and its causes from national leaders and elected officials;
- Advocacy training and preparation for strategic visits with members of Congress and key policymakers;
- Opportunities to educate your community, connecting them with your advocacy efforts and those of your clergy colleagues who share a commitment to social justice.
