Jewish Federation of New Mexico presents: “Standing Together Against Racism: Building on our Common Heritage”
Friends, with thanks to CA President, you are welcome to attend this historic event. “In the midst of these harrowing times in our country, with the stoking of division, hatred and racism, now is the time to display unity and conciliation. To this end, we have turned to one of the most powerful historical narratives in the fight for justice and civil rights for inspiration: The friendship and alliance between the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. The relationship between the African-American and Jewish communities, although tested at times, remains strong and all the more important when standing together against racism is paramount.”
