Dr. Lisa M. Koonin: International expert in pandemic influenza planning and response and the Founder of Health Preparedness Partners, where she provides consultation to businesses. She completed 31 years at the CDC, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) where she served as the Deputy Director of the Influenza Coordination Unit. Currently she is supporting the CDC’s COVID-19 emergency response by serving as the Lead for Partners, Healthcare Systems Coordination Team.
Commander Renee Calanan: Health Equity Coordinator at the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Previously, CDR Calanan served as Senior Chronic Disease Epidemiologist in CDC’s State Chronic Disease Epidemiology Program. She is currently supporting CDC’s COVID-19 emergency response as co-lead for community-and faith-based organizations.
